Kew Gardens

Hey everyone! This week I took a visit to Kew Gardens. My last memory of visiting here was a school trip in Primary School so it was so fun to have a wonder around! I mainly took this visit to work on some photography and learn more about my camera so I thought I’d use this blog post to share some of those photos with you guys!

However, I would highly recommend visiting here! It’s such a lovely day out especially if the weather is nice. There is so much to see and you can have picnics allover the grounds!

Sunday Markets

Hey guys! Yesterday I headed to Brick Lane with my friend, Meg, where we had lunch in the cereal killer cafe and strolled around the markets. It was so hot and very busy but I had a lot of fun just wondering around the streets of London.

Cereal Killer Cafe is this retro cafe that serves so many different types of cereals and cereal cocktails, they also do hot food! Everything on the menu is so unique and very yummy! The place is kitted out with throw-back toys and posters. There are two locations in London: Brick Lane and Camden Market. We went to the one in Brick Lane which had moved locations since the last time i’d been there. I ordered an ice cream cereal cocktail called the luckiest charm which was Lucky Charms, Lucky Charm ice cream and green milk, Meg ordered Frosties ice cream and we shared some pizza sausages and Cornflake Chicken. It was all so good!

After we’d eaten we wondered around and found so many different market areas surrounding the area. I’m glad we ate before because I wouldn’t have been able decide what to eat from the market it all looked and smelt amazing!

We stumbled across the most adorable plant store in one of the indoor market areas! There were terrariums hanging all over the place and they had these cute necklaces with roses and other flowers in them.

If you’re ever at loose end on a Sunday I would strongly recommend checking out the markets and cereal killer cafe should deffinately be on your list of places to visit!

Beach Blanket Babylon

Last weekend it was my brothers birthday and we all went into Notting Hill for dinner. As we headed down the street from the station to the restaurant we walked past lots of small quirky shops. There was a comic book swap store and lots of cute ice cream stores. I would definitely love to go back to look in all the small stores during the day as we didn’t have time before dinner. The outside of the restaurant isn’t much honestly. It looks fairly small and it has a small front garden with outside seating. The building is just plain white and fits in with all the other buildings on the street. However when you walk inside its a completely different story.

As you walk in the door theres a bar in the centre of the room. It’s like any London bar really but as you begin to walk around the back it just gets more and more fascinating. There is a ginormous fireplace thats carved out to be a guy with a beard. It’s like something out of a movie. Walking further into the restaurant takes you up these stars and across a wooden bridge. The whole vibe of the restaurant changes. We sat in the back part if the restaurant that was set out to be like caves. It was quite dark but they had these tiny lamps on the tables that were cute. In the cave area there these LED lights. The crazy thing was that just off to the side from there was the toilets. The second you walked in it was like you had travelled to Paris. The themes and vibes of the entire place changed within a few feet of walking it was so weird but also very cool!

I obviously have to talk about the food! I didn’t really eat that exotically honestly. For starter I ordered avocado sushi but i was actually disappointed with it because it was more avocado than sushi. However, they had these meatballs also on the starter menu which my brothers both ordered and I still regret to this day not ordering those. For mains i just had pasta. It was tomato linguini and it was really nice, but it was just pasta. Don’t get me wrong they had other more exciting items but I was just feeling pasta. Ground breaking for student to want to eat pasta! The dessert was my favourite part though! Chocolate Orange mouse! OH MY GOD! It was the best thing iv’e ever eaten quite possibly!

I am definitely going to come back here! I absolutely love it and i feel theres even more to the place that i haven’t seen yet. This isĀ  a must if you’re ever in London. It’s just so weird and wonderful so I 100% recommend (just note theres no wifi or service in the restaurant so go with people you want to talk to!) Thanks for reading guys! Let me know your favourite places to eat in London because i’m always up for a quirky meal out!
